The Rotary Club of Port Fairy celebrated two milestones at the Limestone Gallery & Cafe on the evening of 12th December when 37 members and guests sat down to a Christmas meal to mark the end of the 2016 Rotary year.  It was a light hearted meeting with minimal business other than the special presentation made to Lisa van Someren who is being sponsored by the Club to participate in a 12-month, Rotary Youth Exchange program and will be leaving for Ontario, Canada on 14th January 2017.

At the dinner, Lisa was presented by President, Adrian Crosier, with her official Youth Exchange blazer and a cheque for $1,000 to help defray the cost of her overseas trip.

This was the last opportunity for Lisa to meet with Club members as a whole and all present wished her luck on her 12 months away from home.  We all look forward to receive reports on her progress in Canada where she will be hosted by a number of Rotary-based families as well as attending school in Woodstock Ontario.
