RCPF - Annual Summer Raffle (Wilma Preston Painting Raffle) for Dec 2022 and Jan 2023.

Volunteer ticket sellers sought.

The Rotary Club of Port Fairy Xmas Party for 2022 is scheduled for Monday 19th December at the Sentinel Restaurant (20 Bank St, Port Fairy).

Cost will be $40 per person.

All Rotarians & Friends of Rotary members - together with partners - are invited to attend and celbrate the closing of our 2022 year.

The Lions Club of Port Fairy-Belfast , have invited all members of the Rotary Club (along with Friends of Rotary and all partners) to a social BBQ on 18th January 2023 to be held at the Port Fairy Senior Citizens premises in Barclay Street, Port Fairy.

Time for this event is 6:30pm for 7:00pm start.

The Lions Club will be supplying all food for the event but you are requested to BYO drinks.

There will be no charge for this event but, at the suggestion of our President, Graeme Cox, Rotarians are encouraged to donate $10 towards the Lions Club and to also participate in the raffle they will be holding on the evening.

In order to provide and indication to the Lions Club of the numbers required to be catered for on the evening, please RSVP, preferably by either accepting or declining this invitation in ClubRunner, by Monday 16th January.  You can also email acceptances directly to me at harry.bracegirdle@bigpond.com

Rotary MOWs January 2023

In 2023, the Rotary Club of Port Fairy is again assisting the Rotary Club of Ballarat South in selling tickets for its annual Car Raffle which has a 1st prize of a Honda CRV SUV. valued at $35,900 and a generous $1000 voucher from Bunnings as a 2nd prize.  The raffle is to be drawn on Sunday 7th May 2023.

The RC of Port Fairy will receive $1.60 from each $2 ticket sold from our batch of 1000 tickets and we have now received permission from the Moyne Shire Council to sell tickets for the raffle in Sackville Strret during February,  March and April 2023. 

We are programming the roster to be 2 x 1.5 hour shifts on selected Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Rotary Club is providing support to the 2023 Port Fairy Jazz Festival by monitoring doors at the St. Pat's Church Hall in William Street, Port Fairy on:

1. Friday 10th February (5pm to 11 pm) and
2. Sunday 12th February (11 am to 5 pm)

Volunteers are required to cover 3 x 2hr shfts on each day.

Volunteers on the first shift of the day should arrive 15 minutes prior to help open the venue and subsequent shifts 5 minutes prior to allow for a handover.

Catering at the Port Fairy Marathon for 2023

The roster for manning gates at the 2023 Port Fairy Folk Festival covers four days from Friday 10th March 2023  to Sunday 13th March 2023 and spreads over 25 individual shifts. 

Notes:

1. Most shifts require two volunteers except for the two shifts covering the Campbell Street entrances on the Friday 10th March  from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.Some shifts involve a late finish around 1:00am.
2. Rotary is covering both entrances - Campbell Street and the Southcombe Caravan Park entrance.
3. Rotary is covering 26 time slots with a total of 49 shifts over the four days
4. Volunteers rostred for the Southcombe Park entrance will still need to enter the festival arena via the Campbell Street entrance and log onto the volunteer register in the security office..

Rotary MOWs March 2023

The Rotary Club Fashion Parade will be resurrected in 2023 and will be a major fundraiser for the Club.

Details on the parade, cost, venue and times will be provided at a later stage in 2023. 

The event is being organised by the "Friends of Rotary"
