Fundraiser event for the Rotary Club of Port Fairy. 

The movie to be shown is "Belfast" starring Kenneth Brannagh to be screened at the Reardon Theatre in Port Fairy. 

Tickets are $20 pp.

Call for volunteers for MOWs for 23-27 May for the Rotary Club.

Nina, is a local girl who is studying at Emmanual College in Warrnambool  She was the Rotary Club of Port Fairy's sponsored candidate to attend the National Youth Sceince Forum in Canberra in January 2022.  Unfortunately, Nina did not make it to Canberra - because of Covid - but still managed to "attend" the forum online. She informed members about the many and varied topics covered in the forum - her enthusiasm for

• Guest speaker Dr. Karl Kruszelnicki, a live-streaming,
• The live, online presentation from a doctor stationed on Australia’s Antarctic base
• A live streaming from the Large Hadron Collider managed by CERN and located in Switzerland
• A talk by a “Genomist
• A presentation on “Critical Thinking” by an academic from the University of Queensland
• The use of “bug farming” as a means to diversify food sources.

Nina proved to be a great ambassador for our Club that seeks to sponsor students to the NYSF each year.

Annual Changeover Dinner for the Rotary Club of Port Fairy.

Cost: $40 per person includes two-course meal. Members and  guests can pay at the door (cash or card). 

Drinks at bar prices.

as once numbers are advised to the hotel all live registrations will need to be paid for.

MENU:

Main Course:

• Porterhouse steak with roast chat’s beans and corn served with red wine jus or
• Feta and leek Roulade served with mash beans and red wine jus
• Vegetarian option - Spinach pumpkin risotto

Dessert:

• Sticky Date served with whipped cream  or
• Hot lava pudding served with whipped cream

The Rotary Club is having a mini-working bee on Sunday 17th July 2022 to clean up the Rotqary Shed on the Port Fairy Showgrounds. (Shed is at the top of the slope as you approach the Port Fairy Men's Shed).

As well as cleaning up the shed it is planned to demonstrate the assemble of our new gazebo and also christen our new BBQ. YES.....that means we will be having a BBQ around lunchtime, so please come along !

All members and Friends (and partners) are welcome to attend so please let us know your intention by volunteering on the Sign-up sheet.

The Rotary Club seeks 4-5 volunteers to do some weeding around the garden beds in Barclay Street Port Fairy (next to Anglican Church).

If you can help, please register and bring along your gardening gloves and a weeding fork or trowel.

Call for volunteers for MOWs for 25-29 July for the Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club has planned a Club social function on Sunday 28th August 2022 at the Woolsthorpe Union Station Hotel.

This is an opportunity for all members and Friends (along with our partners) to have a day out and socialise.

Rotary MOWs September 2022

The theme will be an update on WRAD services for alcohol & other drug treatment and medical care as well a discussion on the value of families involved in treatment and maybe a reflection on the experience of COVID on delivery of services like WRAD.

Excavate and pour footings for the Centenary seat on the Rail Trail. Bring shovels.

Kathy's visit to RC of Port Fairy will be one of her rolling visits to Clubs in District 9780.  This is an opportunity for all members, Friends and partners to get top know Kathy and her plans for 2022/23.

The Rotary Club's Annual "Open Gardens" spectacular is on again in 2022.  We have five fantastic gardens on display.

Cost is $25 per person, which includes either a morning or afternoon tea.
