The Rotary Club of Port Fairy has concluded its annual effort to promote the Rotary Bowelscan Project in the community.  This year, with the assistance of McLean's Pharmacy in Port Fairy, some 117 Bowelscan kits were sold which is on par with past year's total of 122.

Last year the results for our region indicated a encouraging result in that no serious cases of bowel cancer were detected in the people tested from our region.  We hope for a similar result in 2012 and trust that programs such as Bowelscan is assisting in both community education about bowel cancer and also helping to diagnose early detection of symptoms.
