The Friends of Port Fairy Rotary's recent fashion parade proved a great success.  Over a 100 people attended and around $1800 was raised on the day.  The funds will provide support for the Club's charitable efforts.

The Friends organised the event, sourcing the garments and accessories from the Francis Foundation Op-Shop.  The Francis Foundation provides accommodation placement and support for mental health.  The Foundation was founded in 1981 by well-known Port Fairy resident Joan Grace.

Rotarians Jill Gleeson and Robert Whitehead featured among the volunteer models, all of whom put on an entertaining display of the outfits.

The Friends have a lot of fun and their volunteer efforts make a very important contribution to the Rotary Club of Port Fairy's community service and charitable fundraising.  For further information on the Friends, or to join the group, contact Margaret Whitehead on 0407 681 443.
