Each year Rotary clubs in Australia host exchange students from a variety of other countries.  Recently a group of students currently on exchange in the district visited Port Fairy on a holiday safari and were shown the town's sites by members of Port Fairy Rotary.

10 Rotary Exchange students arrived in Port Fairy by bus from Portland. They were joined by Destiny who is hoping to be an outbound student next year, sponsored by Port Fairy Rotary.

Highlights of their day included a walk around Griffith Island, lunch at Charles Mills Reserve and a surf at the East beach. The Surf Life Saving Club helped out with some boards for the students and with the use the club facilities. Thanks to Shaun Murrihy for organising the help of the Surf Club.

Next stop for the students was Rebecca's for ice-cream all round, which was much appreciated. At the end of the day they got on the bus to continue the Safari onto Warrnambool.  All agreed it was a great day!
