Many flock to Port Fairy at Easter and this means a busy time for the Rotary Club.  The Club's tours of Griffiths Island's historic lighthouse on Easter Saturday and Sunday proved to be very popular with visitors and locals alike.  The Club also put on a BBQ at the Griffiths Island Rotunda, doing a good trade with those making the walk out to the lighthouse.

The tours and the BBQ raised funds for the Warrnambool Special Developmental School.  The school provides a special educational setting catering for 140 students (aged between 5 and 18) who have an intellectual disability.  It is the only special school in the district and its service area includes Warrnambool and Port Fairy.
