The volunteer efforts of Port Fairy Rotary member John Clue have been honoured with a Paul Harris fellowship. The Paul Harris fellowship recognises outstanding commitment to the Club and the community.
In presenting the honour to John at the Club's recent end-of-year event, President Sue Robertson said that John's work exemplifies the humanitarian and educational objectives of Rotary. She thanked him for his commitment to people in need both locally and around the world.

'The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris , who with three of his business associates founded Rotary in Chicago in 1905.
John Clue was the Club's Youth Director in 2016 when Lisa Van Someren applied to be an Outbound Youth Exchange Student. He and two other Rotarians visited her family to interview Lisa and the family. Subsequently John did countless miles visiting the family, preparing Lisa for her year overseas, taking her to training days. He went to Melbourne to see her off with the group of Exchange Students who left in January 2017 and was at the airport to welcome her home in January 2018. He kept in touch with her during her wonderful year.
John also keeps an eye on Charles Mills reserve, of his own volition. He mows the reserve when it needs it, paints or reports to the club that the bollards require painting and during summer puts the flags up and down.
He was also the first president of the Murray to Moyne Cycling Race committee after it moved away from the auspices of the Moyne Health Services. To quote a former committee member, ' he did an absolutely tremendous job'.
