Members of the Rotary Club of Port Fairy spent an hour or so helping fellow Rotarian, Barb Eldridge and her husband, Ken, by cleaning up and weeding their garden in Campbell Street, Port Fairy today.As both Ken and Barb have been battling recent health issues, and unable to get on top of their garden, it was a chance for fellow Club members to lend a hand by clearing up their front garden of weeds and by dead-heading roses and daisies.
Rotarians, Jill Gleeson, Jo Levey, John Clue and Harry Bracegirdle were happy to help. They believe one more session - to trim a hedge or two - will get the Eldridge property into good shape for the summer period.
