Dear Members,

The past month has been a very busy period for Port Fairy Rotary Club. Many projects, much work.

You may not have noticed, but I have been away for a couple of  weeks. My absence makes no difference to the efficient running of the Club, and, as I have said many times, you the members make it happen. You as a group do a great job in the day to day smooth running of your Club. I appreciate it greatly, and thank you.

Thanks also to Margaret, Jill, Diana, and their team for a successful Fashion night. I was away, but have on good authority we have a budding “male model of the year“ in the making.  It was overheard that he could make a career out of it.

The Car raffle is progressing well. Geoff reports approx. 26 books are left to sell from the pool, plus approx. 40/45 books held by members. If you are not able to sell them privately, please return them to Geoff so he can put them back into the pool for selling on the street. He has asked for them back by our next meeting please.

We recently held a New Members Night and Margaret Broers will no doubt report on this at our next meeting.

We have also just completed working bees at the Yambuk Cemetery and the Pea Soup car park. Both were very well attended, with great results achieved at both. Again thank you to all.

In closing, we know that Julie is not very well at present. We wish her the very best with her treatment, and extend our thoughts and prayers to both she and Neville.
Thank you.
John Ellard
