The Rotary Club of Port Fairy held its annual Trivia Night on 18th November 2013 at the Star of the West Hotel.

This iconic event, always a big hit on the Club's calendar, was a great success and was well supported by over 80 participants, who not only had a lot of fun, but also help raise funds to support the Club's community activities.

Teams of six or more competed over six rounds of questions that were compiled by our regular Quizmaster, Pauline McDonald.

Visiting Rotary clubs from Portland, Warrnambool East and Warrnambool Daybreak helped make up the field of 14 teams which also included teams from the Port Fairy-Belfast Lions Club, the Port Fairy CWA, the Port Fairy Art Group, led by Kathryn Weatherly, and members of the Port Fairy Rotary Club. The bar staff at the Star of the West hotel also joined in the fun of the competition.

The winning team called, Scrambled Eggheads and led by Rotary Club President, Hester Woodrup, proved to be more than eggheads by taking out the first prize of a hamper of goods donated by local Port Fairy businesses.  Second prize went to the Eastenders team from the Rotary Club of Warrnambool East.

The Rotary Club also conducted a raffle which raised over $300 so that in total the profit from the Trivia Night was $769.

A listing of the final scores is attached as well as a the sponsors for the evening and a photo  of the wining team.

The Rotary Club of Port Fairy expresses its appreciation for the very generous support of the sponsors.
