Rotary inducts another new member

The Rotary Club of Port Fairy added three new members in February 2015 and has since increased its membership to 27 with the induction of newest member, Joanne (Jo) Levey, at its Dinner Meeting on 30th March.

Following her retirement from a career in education, where she became a primary school principal, Jo Levey moved from Hamilton to Port Fairy in 2014. Since then, she has become a very active member of the community with involvement in a number of organisations including the Friends of Griffith Island before joining Rotary.

Jo was sponsored by Rotarian, Margaret Broers and inducted by President, John Clue in front of 32 members and guests. Longstanding friends Ken and Mary Dowsley from Horsham attended the induction and were a pleasant surprise for Jo.

Jo thanked the members for their friendship and for making her welcome in the Club. She hoped that her involvement would be fruitful and she looked forward to being a productive member.
