Students from Port Fairy Consolidated School were visitors to a recent dinner meeting of the Rotary Club of Port Fairy. The student presented speeches that they had previously presented at the Warrnambool Eisteddfod.
Principal Kath Tanner introduced the students who each delivered speeches on current social issues. This event is a highlight of the Rotary year and the presentations by the students are greatly appreciated by Club members.
The students and their topics were:
- Jordan Fiddy – Bullying
- Ava Fitsgerald – Cyber Bullying
- Akyla Hoey – Domestic Violence
- Emily Hawkins – Animal Caging
- George Hogan – Going to school in France
- Pheobe Raeburn – Gender equality
- Laura Gibson – Puppy Farms

Following the speeches President Sue commended the students on the quality of their talks and presented them with several books to add to the school library.
