At the Changeover Dinner held on 25 June 2018 in Port Fairy's Victoria Hotel, the new Club President, Sue Robertson, was inducted by Assistant District Governor, John Clue.

In her address to the Club and the many distinguished guests, Sue challenged the Club members to find new ways to do things and to reinvigorate ourselves and our Club.  This would involve sharing tasks and building on our presence in the community.

The new Club Executive for 2018/19 was also inducted.

Here is an edited version of Sue Robertson's Changeover speech:
'The incoming Rotary International President Barry Rassin at the Toronto Conference gave a most inspiring address in which he asked leaders in Rotary to:
" Inspire our groups to do greater things, do more than we have ever done before , to create something that goes beyond us in what we do to help build a better world. To be the Inspiration to be People of Action inspired by our motto - Service Above Self."

My aspirations for 2018 are to:
-  inspire new ideas
-  find different ways of doing things
-  visit other clubs and organisations
-  interact more within the community
-  encourage self development
-  increase involvement with Rotaract, and
-  encourage new and younger members.

This is a year about our club. We need to find new ways to do things, reinvigorate ourselves and our club perhaps by more emphasis on sharing tasks.
We need to build on our presence in the community, improve our visual presence and get more exposure for our branding.

With regard to Club projects this year will focus on our local community, with our major projects involving our support of Moyne Health Services and the Port Fairy Schools including, for example, helping with the Alexandra kitchen garden project. We will maintain our commitment to ongoing projects within the community, for example Bandari, and other projects sponsored by the Rotary Club of Port Fairy.

I'm  looking forward to a great year full of fun and commitment. I only hope I can live up to the ideals of Rotary and put Service before Self in all my actions. As President I acknowledge the depth of experience of past office bearers and indeed members of the Club and I look to you for your guidance and support as together we work to make our Club grow.'
