Building on the enthusiasm shown in the 2010 Port Fairy Corporate Cup, the Rotary Club registered three teams in the 2012 competition.

The Corporate Cup is a social lawn bowls event that was run over six consecutive weeks and organised by the local bowling club.  Rotary results on the greens were mixed but enjoyment was A+.  All who played had a great time.

Thanks to Brett Murray for organising our teams.

It is designed for social bowlers who do not normally compete regularly at bowls.  This means that the skills displayed are variable.  Nevertheless the competition is fierce and the bowlers go about their task with much vigour - all mixed with a good deal of humour!

Barefoot bowlers are allowed in the competition and dress code is minimal.  Additionally, the competitors consume the odd "social drink" during the fourteen ends of the competition.  Overall, the Corporate Cup attracts some 24 teams of four bowlers, all vying for bragging rights each Tuesday night with the overall aim of wining the prize cup at the end.

Brett Murray, organised the three Rotary teams. The first night was on 10th January.  Our teams are having mixed results but thoroughly enjoying the challenge.
